stay was excellent - from the initial communication with Frederick, to the recommendations for Eduardo the driver and Jesus the chef (both wonderful), to the warm welcome and great service from Joaquin and Yulissa. The house is well configured and stocked. All four king bedrooms are on the top floor; the two double beds share a bathroom with a sink and shower - the toilet is across the hall.
There is a small beach right out front that we loved for jumping waves (the waves can get rough). To the left and right a short distance, there are calmer beaches. It's very easy to get around. Jesus's cooking kept us in most nights, but we loved Casita de Papi in Cabarete and Ceiba (a pizza place run by an Italian couple, legit). We'll be back!

we didn't know about to enjoy the ocean. Not a cloud in the sky!!! Time of year needs to be considered for what you want. We were off season. It was our most relaxing vacation to date! We had a daily chef, Jesus that was THE highlight of our trip. Our driver Eduardo, was crucial to transporting 7 people and giving us lots of flexibility. The communication from Fred, the housekeeper, and the groundskeeper was very good all week. The playa Alicia was a favorite full service beach, Cabarete for food and nightlife fabulous, and massages on the property was also a highlight. pool table, cabana were amazing! We ate every meal outside. The beds were comfortable, ac was great in the rooms. Fans everywhere. Tons of space to spread out and a huge kitchen. The beach was quiet, no tourists, locals, surfers, horses, and felt completely private. Big ocean waves, but we had fires on the beach, saw the sea sparkle at night and all the stars! We were in the pool every day! We hired Edward for all our transportation! He and his drivers were the best! We hired Mariana & Oscar thru Chef Rossi for 3 days of cooking. incredible to sit and watch and listen to. The house itself was very well appointed, and the beds were super comfortable. Our group was 4 teenagers and 4 adults.. perfect size for that. The huge upstairs deck off of the two king size rooms was a really nice adult only lounge. Fredrik and his staff were terrific, and it seemed like they really loved their jobs. We hired a cook for the week which I recommend so we never had to do any of the grocery shopping or cleaning or making food.
Aside from getting crushed by the amazing waves, we went horseback riding… the horses came and picked us up from the house and we rode along the beach. Highly highly recommend that. We also went to 27 waterfalls, and to the monkey forest. Overall amazing!

Nous avons découvert des paysages et plages magnifiques en explorant le sentier de plage. Les cours de surf pour les enfants étaient inoubliables, et nous avons été ravis de la recommandation de l'école a Encuentro.
Nous avons apprécié l'absence d'algues sur cette partie de l'île. Le snorkeling à Sosua et le jet ski dans la rivière étaient des expériences palpitantes. Et bien sûr, la visite de Playa Grande, l'une des plus belle des Caraïbes, a été un moment magique. Nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité dans pa communauté où se trouve la villa.

The sandy beach of Perla Marina, just a 5-minute walk away, is also fantastic, but be cautious as the currents can be strong. Do not leave young children unattended while swimming.
